Starting to Plan

The pilgrimage earlier this year to Santiago de Compostela via El Camino Frances left incredible memories for both my wife and me.  Our journey was described in http://gilcamino.blogspot.ca.  Six months have gone by and we have decided we want to be pilgrims again.

We have been looking at the forum (https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/) to learn more about the Camino Portugues.  We had considered starting in February but very quickly we learned that the rains in February and March are brutal in Portugal so we have change the proposed dates to May and June.  We have bought the Brierley guide to el Camino Portugues and this weekend we will be getting our pilgrim credentials at the Toronto meeting of the Canadian Company of Pilgrims. 

Lisboa, here we come.

 For now we will continue hiking a bit in the many trails around our area.
