We started late, after a good breakfast. Very soon we found out that the day was going to be very hot. Once we got put of the city we found ourselves in woods of eucalyptus trees. Flowers everywhere. Spring is here in its full splendour.
Then we started to suffer, very strep hills, up and down. Today we walked only 15 km (according to the map). Despite the short distance we were tired. The heat and the hills take their told. Besides we have not walked with full backpacks in the last couple of days.
We arrived to our objective: Ponte de Ceras at 2 pm and by we were ready to call the day. We called Carlos , from the albergue at Alvaiazere and he came to pick us up. Tomorrow early morning he will bring us back to Ponte day Ceras and we will walk the 20 km back to Alvaiazere.
His albergue is very basic, we are in a very old house but we do have our own room and we share the bathroom down the hall with our lady friends from Virginia. LeeRay and Annemarie.
The albergue is full of people from all over, we also found that our friends Kristen from Holland and Daria from Australia are staying here. We went for dinner and ended in a table of 16 people. Pretty cool.
Today we celebrate St. Eric of Sweden, patron saint of our grandson. So we ask St Eric to protect and guide our grandson and to protect us and help us in our Caminho.
